Essential Employability Skills: Preparing for the Job Market
This course is a 6 week course, delivered in the home to students who are unable to attend on site provision.
This course can be accredited by the NCFE at Level 1 or Level 2

Week 2: Communication Skills
Topics Covered:
The importance of verbal and non-verbal communication in the workplace.
Writing effective emails and resumes; understanding professional language.
Week 3: Teamwork and Collaboration
Topics Covered:
The value of teamwork in achieving goals and completing projects.
Understanding different roles within a team and how to contribute effectively.
Week 4: Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
Topics Covered:
Techniques for approaching and solving problems creatively and effectively.
Understanding the decision-making process and evaluating options.
Week 5: Time Management and Organization
Topics Covered:
Strategies for effective time management: prioritising tasks and setting deadlines.
Tools for staying organized: planners, to-do lists, and digital tools.
Week 6: Job Search Strategies and Interview Skills
Topics Covered:
Overview of job search techniques: networking, online job boards, and internships.
Preparing for interviews: common questions, body language, and follow-up etiquette.
By the end of this course, participants will have developed essential employability skills that will prepare them for the job market, enhancing their confidence and readiness for future employment opportunities.
