Creative Lens: Foundations in Film & Media
This is a 12 week course that is delivered in the home to students who are unable to attend on site provision.
This course can be accredited with the NCFE at Level 1 or Level 2

Foundations of Media: Exploring the basics of media production, including film, television, and digital platforms.
Understanding Bias in Media: Learning to identify bias, analyse how media influences opinions, and critically evaluate the messages we consume.
Who Owns the Media?: Investigating media ownership and control, uncovering why powerful corporations and individuals shape what we see and know.
The Power of Storytelling in Film: Understanding how filmmakers use narrative, visuals, and characters to tell compelling stories that resonate with audiences.
Superheroes and Villains: Analysing iconic characters in film, exploring themes of power, morality, and society's reflection through these popular archetypes.
Delivered by qualified teachers and industry mentors, this course equips students with critical thinking skills and a strong foundation in media literacy, preparing them for further study or careers in the creative industries.
